How to Give

December 2011 Giving Campaign

Yesterday I tutored Roshni, a 6th grader from Children’s Day School that benefits from the Robbie Engelmann Memorial Scholarship. We have met five times so far and I have already seen improvements in her reading comprehension and eagerness to write. In 2011, the Tutor Corps Foundation funded a year of tutoring for five lower income young women who attend schools in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I am writing to you now in the hopes that you will consider donating to the Robbie Engelmann Memorial Scholarship as part of your annual giving. There were 14 qualified applicants that we were unable to tutor this year due lack of funds. I recognize that many people who donated after my mom’s memorial did so as a one-time donation. No matter what size gift you choose to make, your participation sends a strong message of support. You are honoring Robbie’s memory and sustaining her work to create opportunities for young women.

Double Your Donation!
Thanks to a generous $10,000 donation from Armin Rosencranz, all donations will be matched dollar for dollar (up to the $10,000 limit). Please take advantage of this generous matching program to make an even greater difference.
