Because we operate via a corporate philanthropy model, all of your donations go directly to the students, teachers and tutors. We do not use donations for overhead costs besides paying the scholarship tutors a nominal hourly fee.

Absolutely. Please fill out an application here and indicate that you are interested in volunteering. Note that our scholarship students generally begin with new tutors at the start of the new school year.

Questions About Tutoring Scholarships

Applicants must be in 5th through 12th grade, demonstrate an academic need for tutoring and be recommended by a teacher and parent. Applicants also need to meet the income criteria below and provide income verification (form 1040 from last year if employed).

  • Household size of 2 – $86,000
  • Household size of 3 – $97,000
  • Household size of 3 – $97,000
  • Household size of 4 – $108,000
  • Household size of 5 – $119,000
  • Household size of 6 – $128,000

We do our best to continue supporting students after the scholarship has run its course through partnerships with schools and other organizations offering grant opportunities.

No, right now we are only sponsoring our Little Free Library program. We might sponsor additional projects in the future.

Every student reecives the same budget for their Little Free Library. We send you the library and a starter kit of books, and you will keep it stocked throughout the year.
